Voters Defeat RTA Tax!
Over 20,000 St. Joe County voters came out Nov. 3, and 95% percent of them said “No” to a Regional Transportation District and a new option tax.
Local government officials might like to believe it was because this district offered little to St. Joe County, but they should not overlook the possibility that this is how we voters feel about ANY additional taxes.
Thanks go to Ron Cenkush, the tea party groups, the County GOP, many other groups, and all you in Common Sense who helped get the word out thru our radio spots, etc. Great job, everyone! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - “Countdown to Judgment Day 2010” Indiana’s First State-Wide TEA Party/Town Hall November 21st, 12-3pm Lakeview Middle School - Warsaw, IN
Over a dozen groups throughout the state are gathering together to make a visual statement that patriotism is not dead, that most Americans care deeply about our Constitution, and that Hoosiers are willing to come together to take our country back.
At this rally, hear contemporary firebrand Reverend CL Bryant who spoke at the DC rally, plus Thomas Tabback, Emery McClendon, and Peter Heck, followed by a Town Hall meeting with the three announced candidates for Evan Bayh’s U.S. Senate seat: Richard Behney, Marlin Stutzman, and Don Bates. (Senator Bayh declined.)
Tickets for this rally are $5.00 and seating is limited. To order tickets, call Kelly Havens at 272-7606 or e-mail citizensforcommonsense@gmail.com . These tickets are going fast. Call soon.
Want to ride our bus? Common Sense can provide a school bus to take us all to Warsaw an hour early, make a stop at Penguin Point, McDonald’s, or Subway in Warsaw, and bring us back after the rally – for donations only.
